Bruce Bauer retired from the world of Tech and Information Technology to
return to his first love: the great outdoors. He and his business
partner Thomas Wallace now operate an outdoors experience company near
Jasper Arkansas in the heart of the Buffalo River valley. Bruce enjoys
sharing his outdoor knowledge with visitors and encourages
sustainability teaching the Leave No Trace principles developed by
LNT.org

Thomas Wallace, age 48, recently retired from
a distinguished career in Environmental Science to pursue a lifelong
passion for outdoor adventures. After spending over two decades in
academia, Thomas decided to embrace the natural beauty of the Ozarks
full-time. Now residing in Newton County, Arkansas, he has opened a
canoe outfitter on the scenic Buffalo River. The outfitter provides
guided tours and equipment, focusing on sustainable outdoor practices
and environmental education. Thomas’s deep knowledge of the local
ecosystems and commitment to conservation make the outfitter a unique
